Position Overview

TRIO Rehabilitation is actively seeking a highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist with a specialization in hand therapy. We prefer applicants who are already Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) or those who are on track to obtain certification. Our practice thrives on collaboration and we are looking for a dynamic individual who is eager to work closely with physicians to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and take a leading role in growing and developing our hand therapy department.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience: 1 Year Hand Therapy (Preferred)

License/Certification: Hand Therapy License (Preferred)

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide expert hand therapy services, focusing on the rehabilitation of upper extremity conditions including post-surgical care, trauma, and chronic conditions affecting the hand and arm.
  • Collaboration: Work in and develop partnerships with physicians, orthopedic surgeons, hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals to design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that optimize patient recovery.
  • Leadership & Growth: Help to shape and expand the Hand Therapy Department, contributing to program development, patient engagement initiatives, and community outreach. Play a key role in establishing protocols, tracking patient outcomes, and integrating best practices into the clinic’s services.
  • Evaluation & Treatment: Perform detailed patient evaluations, develop customized therapy plans, and use modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, orthotics, and patient education to achieve measurable improvements.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment effectiveness in compliance with clinic standards and state/federal regulations.

 

Qualifications:
  • Required: Occupational Therapist with licensure in Texas.
  • Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) Occupational Therapist actively pursuing CHT certification.
  • Strong knowledge of hand anatomy, conditions, and treatment methods.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dedication to patient-centered care and a strong desire to stay current with advancements in hand therapy.
